0:11 you own the Oracle Eloqua Marketing Cloud this video is broken into three different components three different
0:16 pieces this is the first one what to do if you are relatively new to the Oracle
0:19 Eloqua Marketing Cloud so we've created this poster to allow your
0:24 organization to kind of have a to synthesize down with the most important
0:27 things you might do and the appropriate sequence the first the most appropriate
0:31 is the CMO stage and this is where you as a marketing department make sure
0:37 you're aligned on your strategy with sales you know what your corporate
0:40 strategy is because if you try and implement marketing automation when you don't have
0:44 a good marketing strategy marketing strategy strategy is not aligned both with
0:47 sales and you and your corporate strategy you'll basically be automating a
0:51 mess and that's never good so if we look at the CMO stage first it says do you have
0:56 a cohesive marketing strategy if not go get one the next thing it says here is are sales
1:01 and marketing aligned and this is an appropriate step also to try and get an
1:05 SLA a service level agreement between the two departments after you have this
1:10 basic step taken care of then we can go to the second step the second circle
1:14 which is the basics in the basics the first and most important steps to make
1:18 sure your data is clean and if you data isn't clean
1:22 it's really the foundation of everything it's the core in which everything runs it's the
1:25 gas in your car and if your data is not clean you need to go out and
1:30 clean your data if it's still not clean enough you might look at some advanced
1:32 capabilities like doing some appends or getting 4Thought Marketing data
1:36 cleaning cleansing cloud connector and then the next question is is your data staying
1:41 clean and if your data is not staying clean then you'll wanna implement a data
1:44 washing machine so that as things flow in from imports as things
1:48 flow in from forms and even as sales people enter things in the CRM system
1:52 those get clean on an automatic basis if your data is clean and you taking care
1:57 of this portion of the basics then we come over here and you ask are your
2:00 Eloqua and CRM systems integrated you really want these two systems integrated
2:04 because if you don't have them integrated you can't segment on what's happening in
2:09 sales on the
2:10 customers that are there on the prospects that are there and perhaps more
2:14 importantly sales can get leads automatically that marketing generates maybe it can be done through a
2:21 manual download or something but that's slow it takes time and you want to have
2:24 your sales people respond to these leads as quickly and efficiently as possible so
2:28 the next step is are your Eloqua and CRM systems integrated the next step after
2:33 that is do you have a strong prospect campaign in place and this brings us up
2:37 here the first and most important step is to make sure and so the first
2:41 and most important step is to make sure you have a prospect campaign in place
2:44 and so if you don't have a prospect campaign in place you want to kickoff a simple
2:49 basic prospect nurturing campaign it can be as simple as you know 4 or 5 emails in a
2:55 sequence that welcome people to your company into your website or if you've
2:59 already done that it can be something more advanced perhaps something with prospect
3:03 profiling or progressive profiling or advanced to dynamic gated forms and so
3:09 basically this is where you take care of the basic prospecting nurturing programs
3:14 and there's a whole lot of depth behind each of this and this poster even
3:17 though it looks fairly complex it actually simplifies the prospect but that's the
3:20 next step if you have a prospect campaign in place the next step is do
3:25 you have more than half of your revenue coming from your existing customers if
3:29 you do you probably want to lean into the customer nurturing area before the
3:33 prospect nurturing area into more detail on nurturing customers in our next
3:37 video after you have taken care of that the next to the next step is are your
3:43 sales people whining for better information and if they are you'll want to
3:48 implement prospect profiler or you may want to implement lead scoring you might
3:52 want to implement some wall sales is occurring nurturing campaigns all of
3:56 which are outlined here and then there's a nice little icon here that says are your
4:00 execs whining louder than your sales people and if they are
4:04 then you come down here to the Executive area where we talk about reports metrics
4:08 closed loop reporting and so forth
4:10 so this is a quick overview of what to do next if you're getting started with
4:14 the Eloqua Oracle Marketing Cloud so to summarize basically you get your
4:19 strategy in place first your sales marketing aligned first you get your
4:23 data cleansing and data washing machine in place second then you make sure you
4:27 put in a basic prospect campaign you then work on to making sure you're
4:31 getting leads flowing to and from sales with an integration your sales are getting
4:35 leads that are scored an and are getting good digital body language information
4:40 on their contacts and then finally you know a couple of other things which will
4:44 go into more in our next video so this is the end of the first video we hope you watch the next
